Staff Qualifications

All of Rural Home Nursing Services' staff have criminal background checks as well as currency with NSW drivers license and Working with Children check. Each staff member has experience working within the community and have a clear understanding of their job role and responsibility. Workplace H&S along with other relevant and contemporary training is offered by qualified and experienced trainers or via access to ACC computer training programmes.
Registered Nurses
A registered nurse is one who is currently registered with AHPRA and the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. Our Registered Nurses have community experience along with hospital clinical experience.They provide optimum specialised clinical care as well as all facets of case management, personal care, wound care, continence and catheter care, injections, PEG feeding, and crisis support.

Endorsed Enrolled Nurses
An endorsed enrolled nurse is one who is qualified for medication administration & supervision in addition to general bedside care. An Endorsed Enrolled Nurse will be currently registered with AHPRA and the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. They provide a more comprehensive support role for the registered nurse as well as being able to do complex dressings, injections, medications and assessing of new patients for clinical needs.
Assistant Nurses
The Assistant Nurse is one who has qualified in the Certificate III in Aged Care or Home and Community Care (this is mandatory) and provides assistance with personal care, basic wound care, respite and supports the Enrolled and Registered Nurse.

Domestic Staff
The domestic worker is one who has had community experience and offers great time management skills and an eye for detail. The domestic worker provides cleaning and support within the home ensuring that patient/client safety remains a priority for the patient to be able to remain in their own home. By following a detailed service plan ensures all household tasks are prioritised to meet the needs of the patients current health situation.
Administration
All office and administration staff not only have life experience but all have relevant recognised, current qualifications within the administration and business. These qualifications are continuously built on by attending seminars and other appropriate training.
